Photo Upload Tips and Photo Filter Information
Some info and tips for best results...
First of all, and most importantly, a bad photo equals a bad result. Please use a clear, bright, non-grainy photo in your design. If possible, please upscale your photo using one of many up-scalers available on the internet. A 2x or 4x upscaled photo will give better results than a smaller sized photo.
Please choose a canvas that best suits your photo. The shape of the photo on the canvas may not be suited for the photo you've chosen. Also, the color of your photo's subject may be better suited for certain colored backgrounds. Please choose the canvas that best showcases your photo.
There are filters in some of the shapes that may reduce the sharpness of the photo you upload. This is normal for that specific canvas. There are different backgrounds that contain no filters. Feel free to upload to as many backgrounds as you need to in the search for the perfect result.
When you upload your photo onto some off the different canvases, you may be given a shape to fit the photo's subject into for placement on the canvas. You can expand your picture to better fit in the photo shape and move the shape around to be able to fit your subject where you want it by using the + and - signs at the bottom of your photo import screen and your scroll button. You may need to expand or contract the shape to place the photo onto the screen property. Sometimes that shape may be faint depending on the filter it's applying. On other canvases, you will be given the option to expand or contract your photo and shift it from left to right and up or down to put it exactly where you want it.
On canvases that you need to place your subject's face into, you will have the opportunity to focus on the face of your subject and center it in the photo shape. If possible, for best results, try to get a full face photo like the one below.
Please note that depending on the placement of the photo and canvas image, the shape may be different. On the Smoky Gray canvas, the shape is a heart. On the Pink and Gray Abstract Canvas, the shape conforms to the pink moon (see Dart in pink below). The outline on the shapes are very faint and sometimes hard to see. Please keep trying until you get the results you want.
